What really caught my attention about this 1/14 scale truck isn't just the aggressive styling (I picked up the sick Green colorway). It’s the fact that JJRC somehow crammed a massive 550 brushed motor into this compact chassis. Weighing in at just about 2.3 lbs (1049g), putting a 550 motor in a car this size is a recipe for crazy torque. But torque is one thing; actual top-end speed is another. I took it out to my local empty parking lot with a freshly charged battery to do some speed runs. The 2.4G remote felt comfortable, and I have to admit, the 17g servo gave it surprisingly snappy and responsive steering right off the bat.
I lined it up and pinned the throttle. JJRC C8831 squatted down and just ripped. You can instantly hear and feel the raw pulling power of that oversized 550 motor. It picks up speed incredibly fast for a brushed setup.

Honestly? That’s incredibly close to the 28km/h factory claim. For a budget-friendly brushed basher, the JJRC C8831 is no joke. It doesn't just look cool; it actually backs up its speed claims.
